11x17 Acrylic Painting, antique handcrafted wood frame
A lush, vibrant rose held up against a hot, harsh, dry landscape emphasizes both the beauty and the strangeness of a rose in a desert, a place where roses would not exist by choice.
“I am grateful to have been born into this fine packaging, living the life of an artist, traveler and entrepreneur. I observe, listen, dance and create. I like to paint things everyone can connect to, regardless of their cultural, economic, social or physical packaging. I paint “perky” surrealism that appeals to our base humanity, with observations abstract or natural that question beliefs. We, humans are strange beings, we like strange things.
